Part 8 — The Qur’an vs. Hadith:

Direct Contradictions No Sunni Can Resolve**

What happens when the only preserved revelation is placed next to the human reports written 200 years later?

Introduction: The Problem Sunnism Can Never Fix

Sunni theology demands two things simultaneously:

  1. The Qur’an is perfect, complete, preserved, contradiction-free (4:82).

  2. Hadith is also revelation, binding, authoritative, and divinely guided.

But there’s a fatal flaw:

The Qur’an and the hadith contradict each other — not in minor details, but at the level of doctrine, law, morality, history, and theology.

Once two sources contradict, the Qur’an gives a clear ruling:

“If it were from other than Allah, they would have found in it many contradictions.”
(Qur’an 4:82)

Hadith contradict the Qur’an repeatedly.

Therefore, by the Qur’an’s own falsification test:

Hadith cannot be from Allah.

Let’s go through the major, irrefutable contradictions.

1. STONING vs. THE QUR’AN’S CLEAR LAW

❌ Hadith:

The punishment for adultery is stoning to death.
— Bukhari 6819, Muslim 1691

✔ Qur’an:

The punishment is 100 lashes.
— Qur’an 24:2

There is no verse about stoning.
There is no lost verse.
There is no abrogation.

Direct contradiction.
Direct violation of 4:82.
End of story.

2. AISHA’S AGE vs. THE QUR’AN’S RULES ON ORPHANS & MARRIAGE

❌ Hadith:

Aisha married at 6 and consummated at 9.
— Bukhari 5133

✔ Qur’an:

Marriage is allowed only when the girl has reached maturity and can handle financial responsibilities.
— 4:6
— 4:21
— 4:127

A 6-year-old cannot:

  • manage finances

  • consent

  • be mature

  • enter a binding contract

This is a direct morallegal, and ethical contradiction.

3. PROPHET UNDER MAGIC vs. QUR’ANIC PROTECTION OF MESSENGERS

❌ Hadith:

Muhammad was bewitched, imagined doing things he didn’t do.
— Bukhari 5763
— Muslim 2189

✔ Qur’an:

Allah says Satan cannot overpower His messengers.
— 15:42
— 5:105
— 37:171–173
— 68:51
— 72:26–28

A bewitched Prophet violates revelation security.

Contradiction.
Instant disqualification.

4. SUN SETS IN A MUDDY SPRING vs. EVERY SCIENTIFIC REALITY

❌ Hadith:

The sun travels every evening and prostrates under the Throne until permission is granted to rise again.
— Bukhari 3199

✔ Qur’an:

Dhū al-Qarnayn found the sun appearing to set in a muddy spring — a visual perspective, not reality.
— 18:86

Qur’an = metaphor/perspective.
Hadith = literal cosmology.

Contradiction between metaphor and physical claim.

5. KILLING APOSTATES vs. QUR’ANIC RELIGIOUS FREEDOM

❌ Hadith:

“Whoever leaves Islam — kill him.”
— Bukhari 6922

✔ Qur’an:

“There is no compulsion in religion.” (2:256)
“To you your religion, to me mine.” (109:6)
“Let whoever wills, believe. Let whoever wills, disbelieve.” (18:29)
“Had Allah willed, all would believe — but He did not compel them.” (10:99)

Contradiction cannot be reconciled.

6. BEATING WOMEN vs. QUR’ANIC MARRIAGE ETHIC

❌ Hadith:

Prophet permitted hitting women.
— Abu Dawud 2141

✔ Qur’an:

Marriage is founded on love, tranquility, mercy.
— 30:21

Even the controversial verse (4:34) does not promote violence — that is a Sunni interpretive insertion.

Hadith normalizes domestic violence.
Qur’an condemns it.

Contradiction.

7. PROPHET FORGETTING THE QUR’AN vs. QUR’ANIC PROMISES

❌ Hadith:

The Prophet forgot entire passages until a companion jogged his memory.
— Bukhari 5030

✔ Qur’an:

“We shall make you recite, and you will not forget.”
— 87:6

Contradiction between divine promise and Sunni narrative.

8. INTERCESSION vs. NO INTERCESSION

❌ Hadith:

Prophet will intercede for the Ummah.

✔ Qur’an:

“No intercession will be accepted.” (2:48)
“Intercession benefits no one except by Allah’s permission.” (34:23)
“No soul can benefit another.” (82:19)
“Warn them: there is no protector or intercessor besides Allah.” (6:51)

Contradiction between a strictly monotheistic Qur’an and a mediator-based hadith theology.

9. THE PROPHET’S CHARACTER vs. HADITH’S INSULTS

❌ Hadith:

He forgot, was bewitched, cursed people, hit others, allowed slavery, married children, ordered assassinations.

✔ Qur’an:

“You are of the highest moral character.”
— 68:4

Both cannot be true.

10. QUR’AN SAYS IT IS COMPLETE — HADITH SAYS IT IS NOT

❌ Hadith:

Hadith is required to understand Qur’an.
— Sunni doctrine

✔ Qur’an:

“Nothing have We omitted from the Book.” (6:38)
“The Book explained in detail.” (6:114)
“The Qur’an clarifies all things.” (16:89)
“We have sent down the Book as guidance.” (2:185)
“Shall I seek other than Allah as judge?” (6:114)

Contradiction between Qur’anic sufficiency and Sunni dependency.

The Devastating Logical Conclusion

If the Qur’an and hadith both came from Allah:

  • They would not contradict.

  • They would not oppose each other.

  • They would not differ in law, morality, theology, or cosmology.

  • They would not portray two different Prophets.

  • They would not create two different Islams.

But that is exactly what happens.

Therefore, by the Qur’an’s own rule (4:82):

Hadith cannot be from Allah.
Only the Qur’an is preserved, protected, and authoritative.

**Sunnism collapses at Part 8.

The Qur’an stands untouched.**
